DIRTT Environmental Design

Large scale wall graphics Role: Designer

Demonstrating the beauty and flexibility of modular pre-fab spaces, I got to design for many, many walls. Working with the DIRTT Interior Design team, we printed directly to glass, metal, and MDF.

DIRTT Savannah Factory

Named Georgia Manufacturer of the Year in 2013, the DIRTT Savannah Factory is an energetic, inspiring space for both DIRTT employees and client guests.

I designed 61 direct-to-substrate graphics for the factory washrooms, gym, and bistro walls. Bright, fun, and memorable, even the most conservative guests peek into every unique stall to admire the graphics. (Framed artwork purchased from Society6.)

DIRTT Chicago Experience Center (2013)

Each year in June DIRTT showcases innovations and hosts training for Distribution Partners in its Chicago location. The DIRTT Interior Design team sets the theme and colours and I create direct-to-substrate graphics and supporting print materials for the week-long event.

The theme of 2013 was bright and bold. I engaged Calgary illustrator Karen Klassen for direct-to-substrate graphics in the healthcare showcase, under the direction of myself and the DIRTT Interior Design team. I designed and created all animal graphics for the education showcase, which stood in the Chicago space for three years later thanks to its popularity. (Spaces are typically refreshed once or twice per year.)

DIRTT Chicago Experience Center (2014)

In 2014 DIRTT celebrated the creation of the Enzo wall reveal style, which uses a modular component that is x-shaped. X’s & O’s became the theme of the event, even integrated into calming healthcare spaces.

DIRTT Calgary Experience Center

A mock patient room within the DIRTT Calgary Factory, this space helps clients really dig into DIRTT healthcare solutions. These write-away graphics are tranquil yet functional, and have been reprinted by several DIRTT Distribution Partners in their own spaces.
